Requirements

  • Good understanding of products to provide expert guidance to customers.
  • Comfortable communicating with customers virtually, via phone, and in person.
  • Ability to build customer relationships, achieve sales goals, and participate in sales-boosting events.
  • Proficiency in utilizing point of sale technology and applications for selling and fulfilling orders.
  • Self-driven to continuously learn about product knowledge, trends, and complete Macy’s educational training.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and across departments.
  • Ability to collaborate with the team to drive sales and deliver customer experience.
  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
  • Resourceful, eager to adapt to changing priorities, and capable of working independently and within a team.
  • Ability to handle electronic devices.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
  • No prior education or experience required.

  • Maintain department recovery standards, including selling floor and fitting rooms.
  • Deliver optimal merchandise execution presentation, ensure accurate pricing, and process markdowns.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect, strengthening relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • Support teammates with honesty, care, and collaboration.
