About The Position

At TJX Companies, the Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, embodying customer experience principles and philosophy, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role adheres to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. Associates may be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs. Responsibilities

  • Delivering a highly satisfied customer experience proven by engaging and interacting with all customers, embodying customer experience principles and philosophy, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment
  • Adhering to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards
  • May be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store in order to support the needs of the business
  • Role modeling established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
  • Supporting and embodying a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
  • Accurately ringing customer purchases/returns and counting change back to customer according to established operating procedures
  • Promoting credit and loyalty programs
  • Maintaining and upholding merchandising philosophy and following established merchandising procedures and standards
  • Accurately processing and preparing merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards
  • Initiating and participating in store recovery as needed throughout the day
  • Maintaining all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participating in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store
  • Providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback
  • Adhering to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
  • Supporting and participating in store shrink reduction goals and programs
  • Participating in safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment
  • Other duties as assigned
