About The Position
Join Ace Hardware as a part-time Retail Sales Associate and help us take excellent care of our customers! This entry-level position helps out all around our Portland, OR, store, jumping in wherever needed to keep workdays smooth and our customers happy. THE BASICS OF BECOMING OUR RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE Competitive Pay : $16.30 - $17.00/hour Schedule : You'll work flexible part-time shifts during our store hours, which are 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, and 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on Sundays Perks : Paid time off (PTO) Ability to gain experience in an entry-level position YOUR DAY AS OUR RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE Working in different parts of the store to support smooth business operations Providing amazing customer service and helping shoppers out with whatever they need Serving as a cashier when assigned and accurately completing transactions Helping with various services as needed, including cutting glass, mixing paint, making screens, operating key machines, cutting wood/pipes, and more Helping manage and stock inventory Assisting with other tasks as needed to make every day a great one QUALIFICATIONS Required: Schedule flexibility Physical ability to walk/stand for an 8-hour shift and lift 35 lbs. independently Basic technology proficiency Desired: Hardware store department knowledge (Tools, Paint, Lawn and Garden, etc.) WHAT SETS US APART Located right in the Rose Quarter, our Ace Hardware store has been bringing customers' home improvement dreams to life since 2016!
