As a Retail Selling Colleague, the role involves blending effective selling with genuine hospitality to create exceptional shopping experiences. This includes understanding customer needs, offering personalized recommendations, and connecting them with suitable products and services. The position focuses on achieving selling goals through customer engagement and smart selling behaviors, building trust, meeting sales targets, and inspiring loyalty. The role is more than just a cashier, emphasizing customer-centricity, teamwork, and creating memorable experiences. Additionally, colleagues are responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting shopping space.

Requirements

  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Must be able to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
  • Must be able to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
  • Be comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues
  • Responsible for acquiring new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits
  • Meeting daily sales goal challenges
  • Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information
  • Resourceful and eager to start a new venture and can adapt to changing priorities; you can work on your own but are great with team dynamics
  • You can handle electronic devices with no problem

Responsibilities

  • Begin each day energized and ready to make an impact.
  • Wear name badge with pride, greet teammates with a warm hello, and help ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and prepared for customers.
  • Review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, and stay up to date on current trends and promotions.
  • Focus on the customer by offering a warm welcome, making eye contact, and creating friendly, personal conversations to build customer relationships.
  • Maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, and supporting any needed merchandise moves.
  • Share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have all they need, and end with a sincere thank-you, often walking the package around and using the customer’s name.
  • Support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration.
  • Strive to improve every day, take pride in work, achieve sales goals and learn from each other to deliver individual and store results.
