About The Position

DICK’S Sporting Goods believes in the positive impact of sports on lives. The company is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workforce. A new DICK'S House of Sport store is opening in Annapolis, MD, and the company is inviting applications for Retail Sales Associate positions. Interviews are anticipated to begin in June. Store teammates are expected to be passionate about creating an exceptional shopping experience, demonstrating eagerness to help, in-depth product knowledge, high brand and execution standards, and the ability to prioritize.

Requirements

Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).

Nice To Haves

Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment standards, etc.
Promote company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.).
Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures.
Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.
Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customer) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect.
Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
