About The Position
As a Retail Sales Associate at TJ Maxx, you will play a crucial role in delivering a highly satisfying customer experience. Your primary responsibility will be to engage and interact with customers, embodying the principles of customer experience while maintaining a clean and organized store environment. You will adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards, ensuring that the store runs smoothly and efficiently. This position may require you to be cross-trained in multiple areas of the store to support the business's needs effectively. In this dynamic role, you will model established customer experience practices with both internal and external customers, fostering a positive store culture characterized by honesty, integrity, and respect. You will accurately ring up customer purchases and returns, ensuring that you count change back to customers according to established operating procedures. Additionally, you will promote credit and loyalty programs, maintain merchandising standards, and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures. Your responsibilities will also include participating in store recovery throughout the day, maintaining cleanliness and organizational standards for the sales floor, and contributing to the overall maintenance of the store. You will be expected to provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, adhere to labor laws and policies, and support store shrink reduction goals. Safety awareness is paramount, and you will maintain a safe environment for both customers and staff. Other duties may be assigned as needed, making this role both varied and engaging.
