Retail Sales Associate - Resort Store

About the position

Telluride, the number 1 ski resort in North America 3 years in a row as per (Conde Nast) is searching for a Retail Sales Associate. Located in the heart of Mountain Village, The Resort Store has professional leadership, high quality products and service, and is a great environment to work in. Responsibilities

• Achieve daily sales goals and increase customer satisfaction by providing excellent customer service and a unique shopping experience for every customer.
• Execute effective sales techniques and train/develop others to increase sales and the overall quality of customer service.
• Create an appealing store environment including, effective eye catching displays, proper store flow, and an excellent overall store vibe that clearly stands out.
• Effectively able to work independently, take direction and execute specific responsibility with precision.
• Utilize and foster excellent communication skills, team skills and specific attention to details that will promote a cohesive team working together to deliver the best possible customer shopping experience.
• Consistently and accurately manage all cash handling and store closing responsibilities.
• Ability to quickly learn brands and store products in order to make recommendations and respond to any customer inquiries and questions to create a specialized customer experience.
• Consistently follow store guidelines for all services.
• Must adhere to Telluride Ski and Golf policies and procedures.
• Support Telluride Ski and Golf sustainability initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Strong retail experience and or customer service background required.
• Passion for providing precision quality customer service and taking it to the highest level.
• Detailed experience and demonstrated past results achieving daily sales goals and increasing customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take direction and execute specific responsibilities with precision.
• Demonstrated retail sales experience providing quality personalized service that exceeds customer expectations.
• Demonstrated experience handling difficult situations and turning them into positive outcome.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months of retail experience.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Punctuality is essential.
