About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate at New Balance is responsible for ensuring smooth operations in retail stores while providing exemplary customer service. Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment.
• Familiarity with cash register functions.
• Ability to quickly perform basic math.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 4 lbs. frequently and a maximum of 8 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to kneel or squat frequently and move boxes of product up to 50 lbs with assistance if necessary.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and climb ladders occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service using proper selling techniques and product knowledge.
• Greet and make customer contact.
• Understand the customer's needs and educate them on product features and benefits.
• Solve customer problems and answer questions.
• Transact sales through suggestive selling and effective closing techniques.
• Correctly measure and fit customers with appropriate New Balance products.
• Inform customers about current promotions.
• Maintain a neat, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
• Ensure items are labeled and priced correctly.
• Protect products by monitoring floor merchandise and reporting security violations.
• Follow safety regulations and report accidents or near misses.
