About The Position
AutoZone's Part-Time Retail Sales Associates play a crucial role in driving sales through exceptional customer service. The primary focus of this position is to exceed customer expectations and provide a WOW! Customer Service experience. Retail Sales Associates are responsible for assisting customers with their needs while performing daily assigned duties in compliance with company procedures. This includes adhering to AutoZone's expectations by Living the Pledge every day, which emphasizes the importance of customer satisfaction and operational excellence. In this role, associates will provide WOW! Customer Service, ensuring that all assigned store tasks are completed efficiently during their shifts. They will operate cash registers, following established cash handling procedures, and adhere to company policies and loss prevention protocols. Maintaining a safe working environment is paramount, which includes the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Additionally, associates will be responsible for maintaining the store's appearance and merchandising standards as directed, ensuring that merchandise is restocked and organized in their respective areas. Retail Sales Associates will utilize AutoZone's ZNET system to assist customers in locating merchandise or finding suitable alternatives. They are expected to maintain product knowledge and stay updated on current promotions through AutoZone's systems and information sources. The role also involves practicing GOTTChA, which includes assisting with the installation of wiper blades, batteries, and light bulbs, as well as utilizing OBDII to read codes from customers' automobiles. A key aspect of the position is the ability to diagnose automobile problems and recommend appropriate solutions. Communication with managers regarding customer concerns and employee matters is also an essential part of the role, as is actively engaging in developing more effective customer service skills. Associates are expected to provide honest and trustworthy advice to customers regarding the best products that meet their expectations.
