About The Position

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a Retail Sales Agronomist for the Brevant Seeds brand in the South Central South Dakota area. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing solutions to customers and supporting a high-performing team. The Retail Sales Agronomist (RSA) will be responsible for managing relationships, providing product training, creating demand, team-selling, and planning portfolios with retailer sellers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, in Agronomy, Business, or Marketing required; other degrees with related agronomy and field sales experience will be considered.
• A minimum of 3-5 years agronomy and sales experience, with proven abilities preferred.
• Ability to provide an agronomy skillset, selling tactics, negotiation skills, and influence.
• Understanding of Agronomy and Crop Production practices.
• Knowledge of key Crop Protection product offerings in the territory.
• Ability to understand changing market dynamics and build a network of strategic sellers.
• Ability to pass a driving record background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide product training and support to retail sellers through in-person or various media forms.
• Leverage and promote the product portfolio, instilling knowledge and confidence in sellers.
• Collaborate with the Retail Business Manager (RBM) to execute account-level strategies with retail sellers.
• Focus on planning efforts to drive business forward, owning the seller plan and executing it with strategic retail sellers.
• Drive the retail seller's ability to demonstrate value beyond products to create product demand.
• Execute core responsibilities including sales execution, demand planning, inventory ownership, plot strategy, agronomy meetings, and in-field training.
• Coordinate efforts with functional leaders such as Area Product Manager (APM), Area Business Development Manager (ABDM), customer service team, supply team, and program team.
