Rental/retail hybrids will be asked to perform two or more main duties within their assigned shop including: cashiering, bike teaching, demo and retail sales. Resume required.

Requirements

  • Prior retail experience required
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Good communication skills required
  • Must maintain neatly, groomed appearance, and abide by the company’s uniform policy
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience, helpful
  • Must be guest service oriented, detail oriented, able to multi-task, and self-motivated
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp Service Excellence standards
  • Must be minimum 18 years of age
  • Must lift approximately 20-30 lbs. on a frequent basis
  • Must communicate clearly in English both written and spoken
  • Must work in restricted workspaces
  • Stand for long periods of time with frequent bending or kneeling

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for covering at least two of the four job classifications for the rental and retail department including cashiering, bike-tech, fitting and sales, and/or retail sales of soft goods
  • The shops can be fast paced; candidate must switch roles often within a single shift
  • Specific product training will be provided, candidate will be required to consistently retain and relay product information to customer, including safety information pertaining to rental equipment
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
