About The Position

This Retail Receptionist position involves greeting and assisting customers, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, maintaining accurate patient records, and assisting with preliminary testing under the Optometrist’s supervision. Key responsibilities include medical coding, insurance research, and billing. The role requires answering phones, addressing patient questions, managing patient check-ins and check-outs, collecting payments, and performing various other front desk tasks. Additionally, the receptionist will perform preliminary testing data collection, maintain complete and accurate patient records, handle insurance preauthorization calls, and follow up on pending authorizations. Maintaining a clean reception area, promoting current offers and pricing, discussing discount club card benefits, and managing Doctor Referral logs for medical patients are also essential duties. All associates must comply with HIPAA regulations and data security guidelines.

Requirements

  • One year of experience.
  • HS diploma, GED or 1-5 years of equivalent related job experience.

  • Adhere to all data security guidelines established within the Company’s Privacy & Security Training Program.

Responsibilities
