About The Position

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the production process in a retail thrift store environment, ensuring that operations align with company policies and regulations. This role involves managing a team, maintaining store performance, and enhancing customer and donor experiences while promoting a culture of reuse and sustainability.

Requirements

• High School diploma; post-secondary degree/diploma preferred.
• 1 year of retail management experience; management experience preferred.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to observe, assess, and coach the work of others.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall production process and team leadership in accordance with company policies and regulations.
• Ensure store performance meets financial targets and key metrics based on operating plans.
• Monitor and set the pace of work, ensuring a positive customer/donor experience.
• Lead, direct, and supervise the work of supervisors and production team members.
• Plan staffing needs and coordinate recruitment, selection, and training.
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members to enhance performance.
• Receive and respond to customer/donor questions, requests, and complaints.
• Manage item put out condition and volume, ensuring all sellable items are available to customers.
• Oversee quality control checks throughout all production stages.
• Promote loss prevention awareness and maintain a safe work environment.
