The Retail Product Developer will work on the creation and execution of compelling exclusive products, from ideation to implementation, with a primary focus on accessories including headwear and jewelry . This role aligns with the core objectives of the Retail department and supports sales growth metrics and targets. Responsibilities include product design, vendor relations, product quality, compliance, merchandise selection, park product placement, vendor negotiations, and cost of goods received within assigned accessory categories across a multi-channel, high-growth environment. Develops exclusive, compelling accessory product, with emphasis on headwear and jewelry , from ideation to implementation, supporting the Manager, Retail Product Development and the Retail department in building and maintaining a competitively dominant merchandise assortment that enhances guest satisfaction and brand value by meeting demographic needs. Works with the Retail Product Development team and cross-functional partners to develop short- and long-range product plans that leverage market research and trend insights specific to accessory categories to drive revenue growth. Identifies and predicts headwear and jewelry product trends to inform future development needs within assigned areas. With support from the Planning organization and Manager, Retail Product Development, analyzes business trends and develops strategies for growth or recovery for assigned accessory categories. Collaborates with the Planning organization on replenishment needs and facilitates re-orders for core and seasonal accessory items as needed. Completes negotiations with vendors for unit cost, production charges, material and trim specifications, minimum order quantities, warehouse merchandise, delivery schedules, lead times, and returns. Works with manufacturers to ensure all products meet or exceed applicable safety testing requirements. Provides frequent product initiative updates to key stakeholders. Positively contributes to an environment that promotes personal development, creating high morale across the team and setting the example for collaboration and accountability. Ensures product safety, testing, and compliance with federal guidelines. Other duties as assigned
