Retail Pool Attendant - FT - DiamondHead Beach Resort
About The Position
Responsible for demonstrating and promoting a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience the guests while maintaining the pool area, keeping it clean and free of debris and proving towel service and fulfilling other guests requests as needed. Responsible for the general maintenance and cleanliness of the pool area/equipment, notifying leadership of any issues that need to be addressed Performs various site duties, including, but not limited to: monitoring pool/spa usage and supporting guest needs, managing towel stock and handing out towels as requested Provides the critical first impression to all guests, having a natural passion for delivering exceptional service Solves problems, providing resolutions, ideas and closure. Responsible for upholding the company standards and enforcing company policies, procedures and practices. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of SunStream Hotels & Resorts, LLC policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
- Previous guest/customer service required
- Strong organizational and leadership qualities, interpersonal skills and dedicated commitment to excellence
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
Nice To Haves
- CPR/First Aid Certification highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the pool area, keeping it clean and free of debris
- Proving towel service and fulfilling other guests requests as needed
- General maintenance and cleanliness of the pool area/equipment, notifying leadership of any issues that need to be addressed
- Monitoring pool/spa usage and supporting guest needs
- Managing towel stock and handing out towels as requested
- Maintain safe & clean facility
- Maintain inventory & storage supplies on a monthly/daily basis
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) system to complete retail transactions accurately
- Promote and upsell poolside retail items (e.g., sunscreen, swimwear, beverages, snacks, branded merchandise)
- Maintain accurate cash handling and daily sales reconciliation
- Keep retail displays clean, stocked, and visually appealing
- Provides the critical first impression to all guests, having a natural passion for delivering exceptional service
- Solves problems, providing resolutions, ideas and closure
- Responsible for upholding the company standards and enforcing company policies, procedures and practices
