This position will support Banner Family Pharmacy at BUMC Tucson 1625 N. Campbell Ave. This department is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients and their caregivers by assisting with entering and setting up orders with patients and providers, non-clinical assessments, and working with specialty pharmacists and the fulfillment center to ensure patients receive their specialty prescriptions accurately and timely. As a Retail Pharmacy Technician, you will mainly be responsible for ringing up prescriptions at the front counter, filling prescriptions, taking refill orders, inventory control, and ordering. Previous retail pharmacy experience is preferred. This position has a schedule of four, ten hour shifts. Fridays 6AM-4:30PM, Saturdays and Sundays 8AM - 6PM, Mondays - 10AM - 8PM. POSITION SUMMARY This position will prepare, dispense, and compound medication under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Provide prescription support services for patients to ensure safe, appropriate, effective and efficient delivery of medication therapy. Provide excellent customer service skills, high attention to detail, strong problem solving, documentation and computer skills. Work closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to support pharmaceutical care activities, complete pharmacy billing activities, record keeping, reporting, inventory management, and arrange appropriate medication delivery.
