About The Position

What Retail Pharmacy contributes to Cardinal Health Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers. Retail Pharmacy is responsible for ensuring the correct and safe dispensing of prescription medications to the general public, in accordance with legal, ethical and professional guidelines; may also consult with and advise patients and physicians regarding prescribed and over-the-counter medications. This position is located at CompleteCare Vineland Community Pharmacy We are currently hiring for a Spanish Bilingual Part-time Pharmacy Technician to work as needed during facility hours. The pharmacy is open Monday - Thursday 8:30am to 9:00pm, Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm, Saturday 8:00am to 12:00pm. Flexibility work in the afternoons and evenings.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Fluent in Spanish (ability to write and speak at a healthcare competency level).
  • Registration in state in which the position is located (if applicable).
  • PTCB Certification or ability to obtain certification within 180 days of employment.
  • 2+ years retail pharmacy technician related experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • 340B experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional working relationships at all times, with the pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
  • Understand that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change as demands on the department change.
  • Be available to the customer/patients at all times.
  • Maintain friendly and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with customers.
  • Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions; preparing labels and calculating quantities.
  • Ensures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Works with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to 340B.
  • Must be willing to deliver medications to patient homes when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
