Retail Pharmacy Technician - Full Time (Providence Location)
About The Position
NO PRIOR PHARMACY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED We are looking for someone who has consistent customer service experience, preferably in a retail setting. Prior pharmacy experience is preferred, but not required to be considered. At Kilgore's Medical Pharmacy we pride ourselves on giving top-notch customer service through every interaction we have with our patients and other medical professionals. We are looking for someone who: works hard as part of a team or by themselves; has great attention to detail; is friendly; can meet expectations for excellent customer service; can adapt to changes in facility needs; can work up to 40 hours per week, including one Saturday a month and the possibility of one or two evenings per week.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience within the last six years, with two or more years preferred
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior pharmacy experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- First and foremost, provide EXCELLENT customer service to our patients.
- Prepare medication and other healthcare products for patients
- Measure dosage of medications, according to prescription orders
- Process prescriptions using computer software
- Label and record dosage information
- Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies
- Answer phone calls directed to the store
- Handle monetary transactions
- Assist customers in the store and over the phone
