About The Position

Performs the manual technical tasks involved with the proper storage, distribution, packaging and labeling of drugs, obtaining patient’s clinical and prescription plan coverage information, review of new and/or refill prescription, associated record keeping and patient charging systems. Works under the direct supervision and control of a Registered Pharmacist. Follows proper procedures for the operation of equipment and use of supplies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail Pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Valid NJ Driver’s license required.
• NJ Division of Consumer Affairs Pharmacy Technician Licensure required within 6 months of employment.
• National Certifications for Pharmacy Technicians CPHT preferred from PTCB, NHA, ASHP/ACPE.
• NJ Division of Consumer Affairs Certified Immunization Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
