About The Position
The Retail Pharmacy Technician position at Syringa Clinic is a part-time role within Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions, a leader in providing pharmaceutical services to hospital and outpatient pharmacies. This position is designed for a highly motivated technician who will work approximately 20 hours per week, primarily during pharmacy hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The technician will play a crucial role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care to communities in need, fostering close relationships with patients, and assisting pharmacists in the accurate preparation and delivery of prescription medications. The technician will be expected to maintain professional working relationships with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical staff, ensuring a collaborative and efficient pharmacy environment. In this role, the technician will be responsible for organizing medications for the pharmacist to dispense, which includes profiling prescriptions, preparing labels, and calculating quantities. They will also ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and placing orders when necessary. The technician will contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and will work closely with the pharmacy team to ensure that best practices are followed, particularly in relation to the 340B program. The position requires a friendly and helpful attitude when interacting with customers and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean pharmacy environment by adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations.
