RETAIL PHARMACY TECH BOISE REGIONAL MED CENTER CAMPUS SUMMARY: The Pharmacy Technician assists Pharmacists in pharmaceutical preparation, distribution and the record keeping functions in the delivery of pharmaceutical supplies to patients of all ages in accordance with department policies and procedures. HOURS: Monday - Friday, between the hours of 730am - 6p with occasional Saturdays. Saturday's hours are 9am-1pm. REQUIREMENTS: Must be a licensed Pharmacy Technician with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy National Certification (CPhT, ExCPT or equivalent) preferred with under 2 years’ experience. Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Assists the Pharmacist in providing effective drug dispensing services to all patients served by the MedNow pharmacy. Assists the Pharmacist in training Pharmacy Technician Trainees in the day-to-day duties of Pharmacy Technicians as assigned by the Director. Excellent mathematical skills required for the preparation and dispensing of medications to patients. Excellent oral and written communication skills for routine interaction with hospital staff, patients, and visitors.
