Requirements

Your primary focus will be the effective operation of the Retail Pharmacy and expert patient care: Retail Operations Management: Manage and optimize the day-to-day functional operations, including interpreting prescriptions, accurately dispensing medications, and streamlining crucial inventory processes (procurement, cycle counting).
  • Clinical Review & Patient Safety: Provide expert consultation by conducting continuous rigorous clinical review of patient records to proactively monitor for efficient drug therapy, drug interactions, and adverse reactions, ensuring patient safety across all age groups.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise, direct, and guide the daily workflow and activities of pharmacy technician staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and compliance.
  • Compliance & Administration: Uphold all Colorado State and Federal licensure requirements, ensure all required clinical documentation is performed, and manage administrative duties related to 340B program compliance and retail financial reporting.
  • Hospital Support: Serve as a secondary resource for essential clinical coverage and support to the Inpatient Pharmacist only as needed (e.g., during scheduled leave or emergencies). This may include providing Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and patient chart review during coverage periods.

Benefits

  • Dental and Vision Insurance: (optional) Haxtun Health pays 50% of the premiums, including spouse, children, or family, as applicable.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrued at approximately 17 days for the first year of employment for hourly employees and 22 days for the first year of employment for salaried employees. PTO accrual increases as your length of service increases. This includes holidays.
  • Sick Leave: Up to 48 hours per year.
  • Retirement Plan: Up to a 3% employer match, which increases with your length of service. New employees are automatically enrolled at a 1% contribution rate (can be opted out). Employees must complete 5 years of employment to be 100% vested.
  • Employee Health Payment Match: Haxtun Health matches employee payments up to $1,000 per year per family for services received at Haxtun Health’s hospital or clinics.
  • Family and Medical Leave Insurance Program (FAMLI): Haxtun Health participates in the CO FAMLI program, which is a social insurance program that provides up to 12 weeks of paid leave for qualifying life events.
  • Term Life Insurance: 1 x annual salary term life provided by HHD, no employee premium ($200,000 Max.). Additional voluntary life insurance coverage for the employee and family is an option which can be purchased by the employee.
