About The Position

The incumbent will be guaranteed to work 2 days per week at Eastland Pharmacy in Bloomington, IL. Picking up a 3rd day every week at one of the other OSF pharmacy locations - MediPark Pharmacy in Peoria; Center for Health Pharmacy in Peoria, Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Retail Pharmacist reviews prescriptions, obtains clarifications and analyzes drug therapy. Responsible for compounding and dispensing medications according to established policies and procedures of the professional of pharmacy. Supervises pharmacy technicians in the preparation of medication.

Requirements

• Current Illinois State Pharmacist License
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required within 90 days of hire
• Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and various other medical personnel when explaining medication use and gathering and exchanging other medication information.
• Analytical skills necessary in order to determine drug appropriateness and evaluate drug interactions.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Science Pharmacy or PharmD
• 3 years of experience in retail pharmacy.
