About The Position

The Retail Parts Pro is a professional-level sales position focused on supporting advanced functions of the DIY automotive business. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts, enabling the individual to assist customers with advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project assistance. The position involves managing DIY services and ensuring high standards of customer service and store appearance.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience
• Proven sales ability with past experience in fulfillment of customer transactions
• Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (Spanish a plus)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and parts catalogs
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
• Must have a valid driver's license
• ASE certification preferred, but not required

• ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalent
• Expert at testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services
• Advanced solution, project and product quality recommendation ability
• Advanced selling skills for DIY

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance standards
• Perform key holder responsibilities including task assignment and completion, safety, and open/close duties
• Assist in store inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, and back stock
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
