About The Position

New England Coffee is one of the largest independent Coffee Roasters in the Northeast. Our Retail Coffee Shop, located at 108 Charles Street in Malden, MA, not only services our community with the best coffee around but we also have an eCommerce shop where we ship specialty coffee orders around the country. Reporting to the Marketing & Sales Planning Manager, The Retail Order Fulfillment Associate is responsible for ensuring that all eCommerce New England Coffee orders are filled daily. This role will also assist at the coffee shop as needed, serving our customers with freshly brewed coffee and providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail with ability to accurately fill orders
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to read and write in English
• Team player, punctual and reliable
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office products and shipping software a plus
• Schedule flexibility as business needs require, including weekends and/or hours outside normal work schedules.

Responsibilities

• eCommerce coffee order fulfillment, which includes monitoring and printing orders, filling, and shipping orders in a timely and accurate manner
• Filling and restocking coffee bins, and assisting with inventory
• Backup operations of the retail coffee shop on an as-needed basis, including but not limited to brewing and serving coffee, filling food displays, and taking phone orders
• Follows all safety procedures and actively participates in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives
• Maintains safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person; reports any injury, accident, or unsafe condition to supervisor immediately
• Supports and complies with GMPs; understands and follows emergency action plan
• Supports food safety, quality and legality
• Ensures the operation is providing food-safe, quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
• Other duties as assigned
