Retail Operations Specialist (Seasonal)
About The Position
Eckroth Music, an employee-owned company, serving the music industry since 1972, is seeking a seasonal retail operations specialist in our Roseville MN location. The seasonal retail operations specialist assists our retail sales professionals and repair shop during our busiest times of year, summer and back-to-school. This role plays an important part in helping process instrument rental contracts in a timely fashion, prep instruments to ensure they are ready to rent, and support our team of retail sales professionals, educational service reps, and repair technicians. This is a seasonal role available through mid-October.
Requirements
- An interest in music that is focused on band and/or orchestral instruments
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to lift and unload products (50+ lbs)
- Strong customer service skills
- Collaborative team member who is energetic and enthusiastic
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task

Responsibilities
- Accurately fulfill rental orders to support store, school, and customer needs
- Process rental returns, including inspection, cleaning, and system check-in
- Assist with shipping and receiving, including inventory handling and organization
- Prepare and stage rental deliveries for school events and store pickup
- Support the repair shop by assisting with instrument and case clean-up and other tasks
- Perform string instrument clean-up and basic maintenance tasks
- Play testing beginner band and orchestra students
