Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties at an Exchange supported by NEXCEN and an independent main Exchange. This role involves the maintenance and control of retail merchandise operations and the compilation of various reports. The clerk is responsible for maintaining retail cost accounting records for numerous retail locations, compiling monthly comparative sales reports, and preparing weekly mark-down summaries. Key tasks also include managing daily cash over/short reports, preparing special reports related to retail operations, and forecasting department payroll. The position involves maintaining associate payroll records, processing time cards, and determining entitlements for various pay types and leave. Additionally, the clerk maintains current price lists, checks purchase extensions, manages stock control records, posts retail price changes, and ensures adequate stock levels through computer data entry. The role also includes conducting weekly inventory checks, verifying transfer documents, and maintaining control of inventory sheets. The clerk types correspondence and reports, and may direct subordinate clerical personnel, providing training and input for performance reviews. The position operates under general supervision, with routine duties performed independently and unusual problems referred to a supervisor.
