About The Position

The Retail Merchandising Intern will have the unique opportunity to gain insight and practical experience within a one-of-kind, high volume, fast paced retail environment. The Intern will be continually learning in the areas of merchandising, retail operations, leadership, and fiscal responsibility in a store that is as rock ‘n roll as the museum itself.

Requirements

• Must love Rock and Roll and related fashion
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Flexible and able to adjust to changing demands
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Must be proficient in computer skills with a focus on Excel, Power Point and Word
• Available to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed
• Intern applicants must be currently enrolled in a college (preferably entering senior year after summer 2026) or graduate school program.
• Rock Hall internships are paid positions, and for enrichment purposes must be willing to work within other departments.
• The internship is onsite, starting May 20th and ending July 31st. Exact end dates could be later with some internships.
• Estimated weekly hours for this internship: 35 - 40 hours

Nice To Haves

• Retail and customer service experience a plus
• Fashion design, merchandising, or related business studies preferred
