About The Position

The Part-Time Merchandiser is responsible for creating and maintaining visually compelling, well-organized, and sales-driven product displays throughout Fischer & Wieser retail locations. This position focuses exclusively on merchandising execution, ensuring that product presentation aligns with brand standards, seasonal initiatives, and sales goals. In addition to merchandising responsibilities, the Merchandiser will work one scheduled day per week as a Retail Sales Associate, supporting daily store operations and customer service. At the core of this position, the Merchandiser will carry out duties while consistently upholding Fischer & Wieser values of faith, family spirit, top quality, supreme service, integrity, and laughter.

Requirements

Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role
Good understanding and execution of customer service and selling skills
Good verbal communication skills
Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
Track record of achieving sales quotas
Basic math skills
Ability to work independently
Good computer aptitude
Friendly and helpful demeanor
Valid drivers’ license and good driving record is required in order to move between store locations
Attainment of age 18 so that alcohol may be served and sold
Ability to remain flexible under rapidly changing circumstances, while maintaining a positive attitude
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum one (1) year retail sales experience
Current certifications in food handling and TABC alcohol sales (classes will be provided upon being hired)
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain attractive, on-brand product displays that enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
Oversee the floor area’s daily operations, ensuring that it is well-organized, clean, and efficiently run including the preparation, maintenance, and cleaning up of product samples throughout store hours in an appetizing and food-safe manner.
Execute seasonal, promotional, and themed merchandising resets according to company direction.
Rotate product as needed to maintain freshness, visibility, and inventory flow..
Restock merchandise delivered to the store in a timely and organized manner.
Ensure pricing, signage, and product placement are accurate and consistent.
Maintain overall visual standards across assigned retail locations.
Communicate merchandising needs, product gaps, and inventory observations to store management.
Engage with and educate customers on Fischer & Wieser products and wine offerings.
Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging customer service that reflects the Fischer & Wieser brand.
Process customer transactions through the POS system and properly package sold items.
Prepare, maintain, and clean up product samples in a food-safe and appealing manner.
Assist with stocking product and maintaining store cleanliness during assigned shifts.
Perform product demonstrations as assigned.
Follow opening or closing procedures when scheduled.
