As a Retail Merchandise Associate at Marshalls, you will play a crucial role in delivering a highly satisfying customer experience. Your responsibilities will include engaging with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. You will adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards, ensuring that the store operates smoothly and efficiently. This position may require you to be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support the business's needs effectively. In this role, you will model established customer experience practices with both internal and external customers, fostering a positive store culture based on honesty, integrity, and respect. You will be responsible for accurately ringing up customer purchases and returns, ensuring that you count change back to customers according to established operating procedures. Additionally, you will promote credit and loyalty programs, maintain merchandising standards, and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures. You will also participate in store recovery throughout the day, maintaining organizational cleanliness and recovery standards for the sales floor, and contributing to the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the store. Providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback will be part of your daily interactions, as will adhering to all labor laws, policies, and procedures. You will support store shrink reduction goals and participate in safety awareness to maintain a safe environment for both customers and associates. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the store's operations.
