About The Position

The Retail Manager is customer service focused, collaborative in nature, and embraces our Service Promise. This is a hands-on position that directs and executes all retail store activities, retail team members, and delivers on short term and long term retail strategies. This is a leadership position responsible for driving retail results, revenue, inventory management, profits, payroll, scheduling, merchandising, as well as cross functional collaboration. This team member is highly organized, skilled in helping our team understand and make recommendations about the retail products that we offer, with an emphasis on professional-grade supplements and beauty products that help support a healthy lifestyle. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment, enjoys being part of a collaborative team, and embodies Alive and Well’s mission and values in every interaction.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of retail management (Supplements preferred).
  • Naturally warm, friendly, and service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable learning and using software.
  • Strong communication skills - in-person, written, and over the phone.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to preserve confidential information.
  • Flexible availability, able to work weekends and holidays, extended days, evenings.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for retail P&L understanding and management
  • Passion and knowledge about Health and Wellness retail products with an emphasis on professional grade supplements and beauty products.
  • Curiosity, interest, and desire to continue learning and researching new brands, items, trends, innovation, and options to improve our offerings.
  • Ability to make recommendations for supplements based on guests that present various ailments and symptoms.
  • Embrace the meaning and importance of customer service by providing an elevated customer service experience. Our Alive and Well Service Promise is the cornerstone of our service pledge.
  • Willingness to support other tasks, including inventory management, merchandising, stocking, daily maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Share Alive and Well offerings with guests in an informed and inspiring way.
  • Coordinate across departments to ensure consistent service excellence.
  • Collaborative by nature, team player, and work well with others.
  • Competent in basic MS Office computer skills, strong communicator, and desire to grow with the company.
  • As Alive and Well’s brand ambassador, work with Pharmacists and Practitioners on outreach to local businesses and health professionals to develop long term relationships in the local community.
  • Drive and participate in community events, i.e., health fairs, local street fairs, professional events that help raise awareness about Alive and Well and our mission to the public.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing store.
