About The Position

The Retail Manager oversees the strategic merchandise planning, buying, and daily operations for Horseshoe Bay Resort’s diverse retail portfolio. This role is responsible for ensuring that all apparel, gifts, and branded merchandise reflect a premium luxury experience while consistently driving sales and optimizing margins. Horseshoe Bay Resort is looking for a strategic Retail Manager – Resort Outlets to lead our diverse shopping experiences. From the Marina Ship Store to our luxury boutiques, you will be the driving force behind our resort-branded collections and assortment planning. This is an Exempt leadership role that supervises our Uniform Shop team and works directly with the Director of Retail to shape the guest experience. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience in buying, merchandising, or retail planning.
  • Skills: Expert-level understanding of retail math, inventory analysis, and luxury service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assortment Planning: Lead the development of resort-themed collections and seasonal merchandise plans.
  • Vendor & Product Management: Oversee vendor selection, manage purchase orders, and lead product development initiatives.
  • Performance Analysis: Regularly analyze sales data, sell-through rates, and inventory turnover to maximize profitability.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Partner with retail associates to set sales goals and execute high-impact promotional strategies.
  • Visual Excellence: Direct store floor sets and visual merchandising to ensure brand consistency across all outlets.
  • Operational Oversight: Track production timelines and vendor compliance; supervise the Uniform Shop team to ensure property-wide standards are met.
