The position involves leading and supporting inventory management and merchandising standards and maintenance at the Michaels store located on Lexington-Nicholasville Rd, KY. The role requires planning for and providing a well-merchandised and in-stock store for customers, assisting them in finding products, and delivering friendly customer service. Major activities include assisting the Store Manager in managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and executing company policies and standards. The position also involves managing truck processes, planogram processes, shrink and safety programs, and serving as Manager on Duty (MOD). Additionally, the role includes maintaining seasonal sets, assisting with interviewing and training new team members, and promoting a positive work environment.

  • Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
  • Manage and support the truck processes and lead teams to ensure standards are met.
  • Achieve personal and team KPIs.
  • Manage, execute, and support the planogram process (POGs) to standard.
  • Manage and execute shrink and safety programs.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  • Maintain seasonal sets and feature space to visual merchandising standards.
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, and training of new team members.
  • Support Talent Development activities and participate in Performance Management activities.
  • Interact with others in a respectful manner and promote commitment to the organization's vision and values.
  • Acknowledge customers, help locate products, and provide solutions.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes.
  • Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Retail merchandising and customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.
