About The Position
Sodexo is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Manager 2 to join our team at Erlanger East Hospital, a 90-bed facility located in one of Chattanooga’s most vibrant communities. Following a $50 million expansion, Erlanger East now offers striking architecture, modern amenities, and a comprehensive range of advanced medical services — including pulmonary, surgical, stroke, heart, cancer, and critical care. Known for its excellence in Women’s Health, the hospital continues to raise the bar in patient-centered care. As Retail Manager 2, you will oversee daily operations of a small retail café, reporting directly to the General Manager. You’ll lead a team of approximately 15 employees and ensure exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and compliance with Sodexo standards. This role is ideal for a well-rounded manager with strong front-of-house experience, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to patient and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in retail or foodservice management, preferably in healthcare or hospitality
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Front-of-house management experience required
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
- Minimum Management Experience - 1 year

Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the retail café, including staffing, scheduling, and service delivery
- Supervise and develop a team of 15 employees, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards
- Monitor inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to maintain cost control and product quality
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to align retail services with patient and visitor needs
- Support Sodexo’s AYR (At Your Request) room service model and contribute to a positive dining experience
