The Nordstrom Retail Leadership Training Program (RLTP) is an accelerated leadership training initiative designed to cultivate future leaders in retail management. This program is tailored for individuals who are passionate about a career in retail, possess strong leadership qualities, and have a drive to succeed. Successful trainees will have the opportunity to transition into full-time Assistant Department Manager positions across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores upon completing a comprehensive 9-week immersive training period. As a participant in the RLTP, you will gain invaluable firsthand experience as a fashion sales expert while developing critical leadership skills. The program emphasizes understanding the Nordstrom experience from the customer's perspective, ensuring that trainees are well-equipped to meet the diverse needs of the clientele. Throughout the training, participants will rotate through various Nordstrom locations, including Nordstrom Rack and Nordstrom Local, to gain a holistic view of the retail market experience. Trainees will embody and support Nordstrom's core values, contributing to a welcoming and inclusive environment. They will lead and drive business initiatives through goal setting, team building, merchandising, and exceptional customer service. The program also includes cross-functional experiences in sales, operations, and services, allowing trainees to meet productivity goals while building relationships with customers and employees. Additionally, trainees will learn about divisional key performance metrics and will spend two weeks at a nearby Nordstrom Rack store to understand leadership structures and inventory management in a fast-paced environment. Networking opportunities with top sellers and leaders will further enhance the learning experience, ensuring that trainees are well-prepared for their future roles in retail management.
