The Retail Host plays a crucial role in supporting the general operations of the retail location by assisting customers with their purchasing decisions, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. This position requires a strong focus on customer service, product knowledge, and operational efficiency within a cannabis retail environment.

  • Assist retail customers in accordance with the company's mission and objectives.
  • Provide extensive product knowledge to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Complete assigned work during scheduled shifts accurately and efficiently.
  • Utilize and maintain the Point of Sale (POS) system properly.
  • Follow cash handling procedures and apply discounts/coupons as needed.
  • Answer phone calls and greet customers pleasantly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and product sales records.
  • Assist in the cannabis product inventory intake process following quality assurance protocols.
  • Prepare, package, and deliver curbside pickup orders accurately.
  • Verify the identity of curbside pickup customers before completing transactions.
  • Ensure correct payment is received before providing purchases to customers.
  • Complete curbside pickup transactions upon returning to the retail facility.
  • Maintain medical patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Comprehend and apply all security and safety compliance procedures.
  • Ensure store organization, cleanliness, and upkeep of sales and inventory areas.
  • Maintain open communication with management and co-workers.
  • Report employee issues or customer concerns to supervisory staff.
  • Support management in daily operations and resolution of customer complaints.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by following established sales and service policies.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand and complete directives in a timely manner.
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic understanding of compliance software and job-specific IT.
  • Adherence to industry standards set by local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Capacity to work autonomously to achieve daily goals.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based software and point of sale applications.
  • Ability to interpret and comply with complex regulations and laws.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Flexibility to cover shifts and handle emergencies as needed.
  • Competitive hourly wage of $14 USD per hour.
