About The Position

The Retail General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail store, ensuring a customer-focused environment while managing staff and resources effectively. This role requires strong leadership skills to train and develop employees, maintain operational standards, and uphold the mission and values of Goodwill Southern California.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a customer-focused management role.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree helpful.
  • Ability to multitask projects of varying scope and complexity with minimum supervision.
  • Proficient in using personal computers and technology necessary for assigned activities.
  • Strong communication, training, and people skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as POS systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish helpful.
  • Experience with timekeeping systems and tracking applications.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the retail store.
  • Manage and train staff to ensure high levels of customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve store performance.
