About The Position

The Retail Store Supervisor at Office Depot is a full-time role focused on delivering comprehensive solutions to customers in areas such as Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • Business, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in retail, sales, customer-facing, and/or supervisory roles preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in Technology and Print areas.
  • Ability to effectively lead, coach, and manage others in a professional environment.
  • Demonstrates leadership capabilities and can work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong selling skills and interpersonal communication skills necessary for establishing customer relationships.
  • Adaptable to a changing environment and able to coach and train others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use technology and print equipment applicable to the role.
  • Ability to process information/merchandise through POS register system.
  • Open availability.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture that builds trust, brand loyalty, and exceptional client service delivery.
  • Utilize and understand the selling program to promote the sale of the best solutions and additional products/services.
  • Maintain awareness of planned advertisements and promotions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by educating customers about Office Depot products and services.
  • Effectively utilize communication tools to coordinate customer engagement throughout the store.
  • Evaluate customer needs to determine total solutions.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and ongoing training to store associates.
  • Facilitate training sessions on the business model and holistic service offerings.
  • Observe, coach, and provide feedback to enhance associate proficiency.
  • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures and standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
  • Ensure regular loss prevention compliance and assist the General Manager in coaching associates.
  • Maintain safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of other managers.
  • Perform opening and closing responsibilities, including cash handling and daily store balancing.
