About The Position
The Freight Flow Supervisor at Ollie's will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the receiving area. This position is integral to the accurate, efficient, and timely execution of freight flow to the sales floor, adhering to established processing and visual merchandising standards. The Freight Flow Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining back stock in the receiving area and managing the disposition of damaged goods to minimize profit loss. In this position, the Freight Flow Supervisor will plan, unload, check in, and support the merchandising of distribution shipments of merchandise. They will receive, verify, and merchandise all direct vendor shipments, ensuring that effective freight flow is maintained in the receiving area while keeping the area and dock orderly and safe. Safety is paramount, and the supervisor will be responsible for maintaining the safety of the receiving area and adhering to company standards. This includes confirming the accuracy of all incoming merchandise and setting up and designing merchandise displays. Additionally, the Freight Flow Supervisor will direct the work of other associates who assist with freight flow processes. Acting as the Manager on Duty, they will complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned, including the opening and closing of the store.
