About The Position
The Freight Flow Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the receiving area within the store. This position is responsible for the accurate, efficient, and timely execution of freight flow to the sales floor, adhering to established processing and visual merchandising standards. The Freight Flow Supervisor will oversee the management of back stock in the receiving area and handle the disposition of damaged goods to minimize profit loss. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of the store's inventory and ensuring that merchandise is presented effectively to customers. In this position, the Freight Flow Supervisor will plan, unload, and check in distribution shipments of merchandise, ensuring that all direct vendor shipments are received and verified accurately. The supervisor will manage the freight flow process in the receiving area, maintaining an orderly and safe environment. Adherence to company standards is critical, as the supervisor will confirm the accuracy of all incoming merchandise and assist in setting up and designing merchandise displays. Additionally, the Freight Flow Supervisor will direct the work of other associates involved in freight flow processes and act as the Manager on Duty, completing any additional responsibilities as assigned.
