As a Lead Framer at Michaels in Eden Prairie, MN, you will lead and coach a team of framers focused on building customer relationships while creating custom framing solutions for their art. Your role will involve driving custom framing sales and assisting customers in creating memorable framing solutions. You will assist the Store Manager in managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies. You will also be responsible for developing and coaching the team on selling behaviors, delivering high-quality custom framing solutions on time, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Lead and coach a team of framers to build customer relationships and drive custom framing sales.
  • Assist Store Manager in managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs.
  • Ensure execution of company policies and standards, holding the team accountable for store conditions and results.
  • Develop and coach the team on selling behaviors.
  • Plan workload in partnership with the Store Manager to deliver high-quality custom framing solutions on time.
  • Achieve personal KPIs and manage the framing team to achieve their KPIs.
  • Review sales and production workload, building plans and sales floor time for networking.
  • Manage and execute inventory management processes as assigned.
  • Manage and execute shrink and safety programs.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing, and training new team members.
  • Support talent development activities and participate in performance management activities of the team.
  • Partner with MODs daily on the expectations of framing and other framers.
  • Promote a positive image and serve as a role model for others.
  • Participate in truck unload and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget.
  • Follow SOPs and company programs to ensure a safe environment.
  • Acknowledge customers, help locate products, and provide solutions.
  • Assist with omni-channel processes and other duties as assigned.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Previous custom framing experience is preferred.
  • Retail management experience.
