The Retail Field Execution Manager is a strategic leader responsible for driving best-in-class retail field execution across key national accounts, including Walmart, Target, and major Grocery customers. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Broker Operations, this role ensures flawless in-store implementation of merchandising strategies, planogram compliance, and speed-to-shelf initiatives that maximize product availability and visibility. The position partners closely with broker agencies and customer teams to deliver measurable results and elevate Newell Brands presence at retail.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 4+ years experience in agency retail execution environments (preferably within CPG industry).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without authority.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in POS, shopper insights, and retail technology platforms.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to simplify complex data.
  • Demonstrated success in managing budgets and driving measurable retail outcomes.
  • Personal qualities: Resilient, collaborative, results-oriented, and digitally savvy.

Responsibilities

  • Own the national retail execution plan, process, and timelines to drive best in class merchandising and in-store execution
  • Serve as the central point of contact between Newell Retail Acct Managers (on customer selling teams), MD&P (Market Development & Planning), and broker agencies to bring forward customer specific retail strategies
  • Lead broker partnerships to secure top-tier retail talent and resources, including dedicated field reps and retail HQ support roles.
  • Drive a robust scorecard reporting process and manage performance scorecards with clear KPIs (e.g., planogram compliance %, display execution, speed-to-shelf metrics) to ensure product availability and impactful displays.
  • Oversee centralized retail execution budgets and ensure efficient allocation of funds.
  • Conduct periodic store audits to validate execution and identify improvement areas.
  • Regularly present retail execution performance summaries to NWL leadership.
  • Facilitate real time feedback and plan optimization elements between Newell stakeholders and broker agencies during execution.
  • Ensure usage of digital retail tools (e.g., shelf analytics) to enhance execution efficiency.
  • Further develop tools for cross functional use to enable best in class retail execution.
