At TJX Companies, the Retail Engagement Coordinator is responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience by overseeing a team of Associates at the front of the store. This role ensures prompt, courteous customer service and the promotion of loyalty programs. The coordinator leads by example, engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store. They are expected to role model outstanding customer service, create a positive internal and external customer experience, and foster a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality. The position involves taking an active role in training and mentoring Associates on front-end principles, coaching them on personalizing the customer experience and promoting loyalty programs. The coordinator also manages register assignments, supports and responds to POS coverage needs, coordinates breaks for all Associates, and addresses customer concerns promptly. They ensure Associates execute tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritize as needed, communicate effectively with management, provide and accept feedback, and partner on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness. Additionally, the role ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, promotes credit and loyalty programs, supports store shrink reduction goals, and maintains a safe environment.
