This role offers competitive pay, generous bonus potential from day one, and excellent benefits. We are currently hiring immediately for Retail Sales Associates / Retail Customer Service positions. EZCORP offers a structured career progression, beginning with a 5-week paid training program as a Trainee, which leads to a $.50 raise and promotion to Pawnbroker upon successful completion. Team Members can further develop their skills through the Pawnbroker Certification Program, earning an additional $1/hour. Opportunities exist to advance to a Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Manager) position and subsequently apply for a Store Manager in Training role, which includes a 12-week training program designed to build the foundation for managing one's own store. The Retail Customer Service Representative (Pawnbroker) role involves daily interaction with customers, assisting with sales, and engaging in negotiations to reach mutually satisfying agreements for pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. As a key member of the Customer Service team in our stores, the representative is expected to foster a friendly, courteous, and respectful environment that distinguishes EZCORP from competitors. Requirements

  • Self-motivated with a positive and outgoing personality and a strong work ethic
  • Excelling at customer service and relationship building
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Customer service, cashier, or retail experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work well independently and as member of a team
  • Ability to multitask
  • Able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
  • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms or electronics
  • Sales background

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, interacting with customers in person and on the phone
  • Processing sales, loans, and extensions
  • Performing opening and closing store duties
  • Helping with sales and enjoying the give and take of coming to a mutually satisfying agreement regarding pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, musical instruments, and more
