We are hiring immediately for Retail Sales Associates / Retail Customer Service. Working for EZCORP provides a structured career path to enhance skills, starting as a Trainee in a 5-week paid training program, leading to a promotion to Pawnbroker. Further growth opportunities include the Pawnbroker Certification Program, promotion to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Manager), and applying for a Store Manager in Training position, which includes a 12-week training program to build the foundation to run your own store. This role involves daily interaction with customers, assisting with sales, and negotiating mutually satisfying agreements for pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. As part of the Customer Service team in our stores, you will be expected to provide a friendly, courteous, and respectful environment.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated with a positive and outgoing personality and a strong work ethic
  • Excelling at customer service and relationship building
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Customer service, cashier, or retail experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work well independently and as member of a team
  • Ability to multitask
  • Able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
  • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms or electronics
  • Sales background
  • Bilingual

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers daily, helping with sales
  • Enjoy the give and take of coming to a mutually satisfying agreement regarding pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, musical instruments, and more
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, interacting with customers in person and on the phone
  • Process sales, loans, and extensions
  • Perform opening and closing store duties
