About The Position

As a Counter Manager in the Macy's Cosmetics Department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of a cosmetics line, including coaching a team of skilled Beauty Advisors. You will also engage with customers to learn about their beauty and style choices, enhance your creativity through customer consultation and make-up and product application, and feel satisfied when your skills and passion for beauty help you and your team reach sales targets. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. Requirements

  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality 
  • Prolonged periods (at least two consecutive hours) of standing/walking around the store or department
  • Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic equipment
  • Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision.
  • This position requires lifting, constant moving, standing, reaching with arms and hands, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladder. 
  • Lifting and moving items weighing up to 25lbs.
