The Retail Coordinator and Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for managing and enhancing the golf course’s retail operations to maximize sales, profitability, and member/guest satisfaction. This role assists with merchandising, inventory management, purchasing coordination, and daily retail operations within the golf shop while maintaining a high standard of customer service and brand presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Retail Operations Oversee daily golf shop retail operations, including opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure exceptional customer service for members and guests
  • Assist with point-of-sale transactions and resolve customer inquiries
  • Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing retail spaces
  • Notify Head Golf Professional when low on inventory
  • Tag and restock inventory daily
  • Restock racks
  • Cabinets fully stocked with golf balls
  • Display accessories are restocked
  • Sales & Promotions Upsell and advertise merchandise packages and specials to guests
  • Support promotional events and seasonal sales
  • Assist guests with special orders and questions on product
  • Learn the current trends and unique specifications tied to different products
  • Point of Sale Expectations Open and close the register for your scheduled shift
  • Tee sheet management (booking, cancellation, consolidating singles and twosomes, etc.)
  • Make sure the tee sheet and sales are rung in correctly and timely – correct other staff if necessary or seek guidance if you are unsure of a procedure
  • Utilize EZ Suite for gift card and merchandising needs
  • Opening and closing procedures for each day
  • Regularly update the count sheet, fully stock bank bags, and notify managers if change runs or check deposits need to be made to the bank
  • Daily Tasks Communicate with guests via email, phone, and return voicemails to the club
  • Assist golf professionals during tournaments, outings, and events as needed
  • Provide directions and daily tasks to the outside staff and course hosts
  • Always ensure site is set up for success and visibly presentable for the following day before leaving
