About The Position

As the Retail Coordinator you will serve in a leadership role that coordinates the daily activities and ongoing objectives of retail sales associates. Always offer friendly and knowledgeable customer service to create memorable shopping experiences. Leading others in store upkeep, attention to detail, training, and implementation of storewide processes. The position is classified as full-time non-exempt and qualifies for the company's benefit package, 401(k) and paid time off. Work responsibilities will be based at both Ice Den Scottsdale and Ice Den Chandler as needed. Must have the ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Essential Contributions · Give 110% effort towards customer service at all times: remaining interested, attentive, and resourceful for each guest. Make sure you are using the Steps of service in every interaction. · Train and develop retail associates to meet expectations of customers and store objectives; train specifically product knowledge, equipment use/repair, customer retention techniques, and regularly schedule these employees in accordance with the proven busy times. · Contribute to and delegate general store upkeep by stocking product, organizing displays, keeping store clean, tidy, and always ready to shop. · Maintain and share knowledge of all hockey and figure skating products which includes equipment sizing and basic skate repairs; continue teaching as inventory grows or changes seasonally. · Understand and use proper industry terms regarding skate sharpening: boot stretch, punch, riveting; handle skate sharpening machine according to training instruction, policy, and utmost care, ability to teach others these elements. · Process orders and act as a cashier by handling money (cash, check, credit/gift card) and POS system, teach others how to use these systems. · Successfully assist in opening and closing store; delegate tasks to others and require completed checklists. · Gradually learn management principles and assist with tasks as it relates to inventory and sales methods and leadership. · Special tasks and projects assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Sales Associate in Retail, with proven leadership capability.
  • An understanding of Ice Hockey and Figure Skating products is preferred.
  • A desire to help where needed and work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Active enrollment in High School or equivalent program (GED), High School Diploma, or a General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Sales Associate in Retail, with proven leadership capability.
