Job Summary and Responsibilities Retail Pharmacy Full time Days As our Certified Pharmacy Tech (CPhT), you'll help our patients feel better by providing safe and effective medications to them. You'll help our doctors and nurses feel better knowing that you are providing accurate and timely medication to patients.Every day, you'll build trust by being extremely thorough and accurate at all times. Patient safety is your top priority, so you do everything you can to ensure all prescriptions are authentic, prepared correctly both in medication type and dosing, and are dispensed appropriately, under the Pharmacist's guidance. To be successful in this role, you follow all safety protocols, including those intended to prevent infection, and you keep a clean work area at all times. You are eager to learn or help out in any way needed to keep the pharmacy running smoothly and get our patients their medications.

Requirements

  • Graduate of ASHP accredited Pharmacy Technician Program, upon hire
  • Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience, upon hire
  • Pharmacy Technician: TN, within 90 Days
  • Certified Pharmacy Tech PTCB, upon hire

  • Pharmacy experience
  • Retail pharmacy experience

Responsibilities

  • Enters patient demographics and prescription orders and allergies into pharmacy computer system
  • Retrieves and repackages medications based on the prescription order for pharmacist review
  • Manages inventory and places/receives/verifies wholesale medication and supply orders; processes recalls
  • Transcribes verbal prescription orders from licensed individual practitioners.
  • Processes IVR prescription refill requests and IVR messages.
  • Performs prescription transfers to/from other retail pharmacies.
  • Reviews CSMD information as required for controlled substance prescriptions.
  • Uses ScriptCenter pharmacy automation effectively
  • Identifies cost-saving opportunities for customers, such as generics, copay cards, coupons
