About The Position

The Retail Center Manager develops a highly effective team while helping each employee attain their highest potential through coaching and leadership. This position is responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to internal and external members. A key component of this service is to ensure member financial needs are identified and met with appropriate Credit Union suggestions and solutions.

Requirements

  • Assign, direct, coordinate and review work performed by staff.
  • Work with management regarding key operating issues affecting the department.
  • Ability to supervise and complete performance reviews within the prescribed time frame.
  • Ability to assess and provide recommendations for cost efficiencies and enhancements to products, pricing and processes by monitoring trends in operations and deposit and loan services.
  • A team player who demonstrates enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values and long term objectives.
  • Able to comply with policies and procedures
  • Discretion and diplomacy related to personal contact with others and/or is interaction of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others.
  • Excellent communication skills for training and motivating staff.

  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent in education and work experience.
  • Three to five of experience in developing new business, managing operations in a service environment, and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

  • Develop direct reports to their highest potential by identifying their areas for improvement and appropriately coaching, training or correcting the employees performance. Recognize direct reports who perform at a high level.
  • Coachs direct reports to serve as member advocates and ensures assigned branches meet and exceed defined benchmarks for member satisfaction, as measured within the member satisfaction survey.
  • Hold employees accountable for their performance, attitude and behavior.
  • Meet with direct reports monthly to review previous months performance, set goals for upcoming months performance and develop plans to improve employees performance.
  • Ensures personnel are meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Corresponds with or interviews loan applicants; prepares necessary documents for approval and processes approved loan documents for disbursement/filing, ensuring they are in compliance with Credit Union policies and legal requirements.
  • Ensures team achieves, maintains and implements expert levels of product and operational knowledge to provide exceptional member service while adhering to federal laws and regulations set forth by the NCUA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Interviews potential new members; prepares necessary documents, opens new sub accounts and establishes new services, ensuring compliance with Credit Union policies and legal requirements.
  • Schedules and monitors daily activities of branch staff.
  • Maintains communications with main office and VP Branch Operations; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled meetings.
  • Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • PrimeWay Federal Credit Union Maintains membership in local community groups such as the Chamber of Commerce, and develops a professional network to increase organizational visibility and expand local business.
  • Identifies local advertising opportunities and coordinates with Marketing, Leadership stakeholders on annual marketing plan.
  • Collaborates with VP Business Services in actively building business clientele and meeting business lending goals.
  • Collaborates with Business Development team and leads team efforts in support of sponsor on-site events, including membership drives, benefit fairs, financial seminars, and open enrollment events.
  • Monitors all branch activities to insure they are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.
  • Performs cash and merchandise audits and oversees the ordering and receiving functions of both.
  • Performs facility management for branch office.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
